Application Examples

Monitoring / restarting computer (PC) farms

• smartDEN IP-WatchDog sends PING request to up to 16 computers periodically;
• If a reply is not received within the stated timeframe a reboot will be performed;
• The procedure is fully automated and no additional software/hardware/human action is needed;
• Operator can monitor computer state and perform reboot sequence at any time manually as well.

Monitoring / restarting network equipment

• smartDEN IP-WatchDog monitors the webserver of the remote host (IP Camera for example) via sending HTTP GET requests periodically;
• If a reply is not received within the stated timeframe a reboot will be performed;
• The procedure is fully automated and no additional software/hardware/human action is needed;
• Operator can monitor computer state and perform reboot sequence at any time manually as well;
• Up to 16 network devices can be monitored and rebooted.

Internet connection checking

• smartDEN IP-WatchDog sends HTTP GET request to web server;
• If a reply is not received within the stated timeframe a reboot of the router will be performed;
• The procedure is fully automated and no additional software/hardware/human action is needed;
• Operator can monitor computer state and perform reboot sequence at any time manually as well.

Some useful information about DAE-aModules and smartDEN IP-WatchDog:

• Select device smartDEN IP-WatchDog. You have to enter the IP of the device, HTTP port(80 by default) and web password;

Control smartDEN IP-WatchDog via HTTP GET Request and receive the reply in XML or JSON format

smartDEN IP-WatchDog can be controlled via simple HTTP GET requests like below examples:
